The reports further suggested that both lost their lives after a suspected drunk driver hit their car and the incident happened in Jackson Township which is in Ohio. The father of Pappas was also accompanied by her mother named Kristine Pappas who luckily survived the lethal accident and was instantly admitted to the Mercy Medical Center after the lethal collide. The police department stated that this road accident happened at around 11:00 PM when a reportedly intoxicated driver who is 27 years old was operating towards the west on Strausser St. NW.

The police department did not permit Steph to say a final goodbye to her father because of the extent of the wounds. The cops stated to the media outlet that they already lodged the case and were probing the incident and gathering evidence and samples to present to prosecutors.
