Shamshera Movie Release Date

The turn of Ranbir Kapoor in a double role in his latest film Shamshera looks to have left no impression on his admirers this time. His fans and entertainment lovers are highly disappointed with his film. The latest from the YRF stable has fallen flat at the box officer right at the beginning. The film was launched on 22nd July 2022, with the highest screen counts in the post-pandemic era. But, fewer than approving reviews and muted admiration reactions look to be the chief reasons for its below-average run. It somehow managed to gather a mere of around Rs 10 crore on the film opening day, as against assumptions of gathering Rs 14-15 crore.

According to Box Office India, the movie earned around Rs 10-10.25 crore on the 2nd day. The return of Ranbir Kapoor to the big screen with his latest film has gathered lesser than the money that his spouse’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi 2nd Day collections. With bad reviews and a muted admiration reaction, the film is struggling at the time on big screens. As per the estimates on the second day of the release, the film has accumulated another 10 crore which is a bad figure for something mounted on a reported budget of the film which is around Rs 150 crore.

Not only this but Ranbir’s film accumulated lesser than his wife’s film on the 2nd day. The film is directed by Karan Malhotra and is a historical drama that stars Vaani Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt. Except for the few states in the Hindi-speaking belt Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the film continues to perform badly. The film has only made around Rs 2.75 crore in the state of Maharashtra on Friday, and the film is struggling in the states of South India, in the spite of being dubbed in Telugu and Tamil.
